Born and raised in the Italian countryside of Verona, Mo Coppoletta has been a devotee to religious and decorative art from an early age. At the age of 27, he began his tattooing career and quickly gained an international following for his designs.
Coppoletta is considered to be one of the world’s leading tattoo artists and his parlour, The Family Business, in London’s Exmouth market has an international reputation for delivering unique and exquisite tattoos. A book, Tattooed by The Family Business, was published in 2010 by Pavilion Books.
Beyond the world of tattooing, Coppoletta is in demand as a designer whose skills lend themselves to an increasingly diverse range of projects. He has collaborated with numerous musicians, artists and brands on artwork – his close collaborators just this year include the Prodigy, Damien Hirst, the Chapman Brothers and the luxury watch maker, Romain Jerome.
Heartbreak is delighted to be presented this, Coppoletta’s first exhibition of paintings and limited edition prints.
